Parents of first-graders can receive an allowance
Article 18 of the Law on State Benefits establishes types of emergency aid and grounds for its provision, one of which is the entry of a child into the first grade in the family.
Article 20 of the same law establishes the right of a child to a one-time emergency aid upon entering the first grade and the procedure for its provision.
The right to a one-time emergency aid for entering the first grade has a family, which has the right to family allowance as of the month of application, one of the underage members of which entered the first grade of general education institution.
One of the adult members of the family applies to the territorial center to receive a lump-sum emergency aid when a child enters the first grade.
The lump-sum emergency aid at the child’s entry to the first grade is assigned, if one of the adult members of the family applied during August, September, October of the year of the child’s entry to the first grade, and as of the month of application the family is entitled to receive the family allowance.
One-time emergency assistance for entering the first grade is assigned for each child of the family entering the first grade.
The one-time emergency aid for entering the first grade is paid during the month following the month of application.
