New Regulations for Cash Registers and Receipts
The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia has proposed to amend the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia. The amendments will concern non-compliance with the rules for the use of cash registers and settlements using cash registers. According to the draft law, incorrect entry of a commodity item, work code or service in the receipt of the cash register entails a warning, and in case of repeated violation within one year after the application of the warning, a fine of 10 thousand drams.
The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia justifies its proposal by the need to create a more predictable environment for small and medium-sized businesses, by differentiating the liability measures provided for violation of the rules for the use of cash registers, depending on the nature of the violation and the amount of damage caused to the state.
