{"id":5853,"date":"2017-03-15T20:26:10","date_gmt":"2017-03-15T16:26:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.armenianlaw.com\/?p=5853"},"modified":"2018-02-19T22:37:07","modified_gmt":"2018-02-19T18:37:07","slug":"persons-who-have-attained-the-age-of-27-until-may-01-2017-and-have-not-passed-compulsory-military-service-will-have-an-opportunity-to-be-released-from-criminal-liability","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.armenianlaw.com\/en\/persons-who-have-attained-the-age-of-27-until-may-01-2017-and-have-not-passed-compulsory-military-service-will-have-an-opportunity-to-be-released-from-criminal-liability\/","title":{"rendered":"Military service for the citizens of Armenia who have attained the age of 27"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In early March RA National Assembly proposed an initiative on a provision of privileges to citizens who have not passed mandatory <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mindiaspora.am\/res\/3.%20Iravakan%20akter\/ENGLISH\/Zinapart_orenq_ENG.docx\">military service.<\/a> According to the draft law, citizens of the Republic of Armenia who has attained the age of 27 and has not passed compulsory military service until 1<sup>st<\/sup> of May 2017 can be released from criminal prosecution, provided mandatory payments to the state budget are made.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">We would like to remind that latest amendment to the law provides that only the persons who attained the age of 27 until 1<sup>st<\/sup> of May 2015 are entitled to release from criminal prosecution. Currently, persons who reached\u00a027 after 1<sup>st<\/sup> of May 2015 are subject to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.armenianlaw.com\/en\/draft-criminal-%d1%81ode-provides-criminal-liability-for-legal-entities\/\">criminal liability<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This amendment is supposed to be adopted by the end of March 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>03.15.2017<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In early March RA National Assembly proposed an initiative on a provision of privileges to citizens who have not passed mandatory military service.
