On the basis of an agreement between the Republic of Armenia and a number of countries, such as The Russian Federation, The Ukraine, The Republic of Belarus, The Republic of Georgia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and The Republic of Moldova, the citizens of these countries have the right to enter the territory of the Republic of Armenia without a visa and stay here no more than 180 (one hundred and eighty) days. After the expiration of 180 (one hundred and eighty) days should the citizens of the aforementioned states want to continue their stay in the Republic of Armenia, they must apply for a residence permit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The legislation of the Republic of Armenia provides the following types of visas:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A visitor\u2019s visa which gives the right to stay in the territory of the Republic of Armenia for 120 (one hundred and twenty) days with a possible further extension of 60 (sixty) days. The purpose of this visa is tourism, visiting relatives, family reunion and\/or participation in programs;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An official visa;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A diplomatic visa;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A transit visa which can be extended for 15 (fifteen) days before it expires at the request of a foreign citizen. The application must be submitted to The Passport and Visa Department of the Police of the RA.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Visas for entry into the territory of the Republic of Armenia are provided by:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The diplomatic and consular offices of the Republic of Armenia in foreign countries;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At the checkpoint, IE: at the state border of the Republic of Armenia;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia provides an electronic visa. The website: http:\/\/www.mfa.am<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The procedure for obtaining a visa:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Documents required for obtaining a visa to enter the Republic of Armenia:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An internationally recognized travel document, or certified passport with the period of validity exceeding the visa validity period by one month;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An application for a visa in the English and\/or the Armenian languages;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If the visa is granted by the diplomatic and consular office of the Republic of Armenia in a foreign country, then the statement of the applicant must include a photograph size 35 x 45 mm;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Under age (eighteen years) foreign national applying to obtain a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.armenianlaw.com\/en\/armenian-government-established-visa-free-regime-for-the-citizens-of-united-arab-emirates\/\"> visa to enter the Republic of Armenia<\/a> must attach a document certifying that they are visiting a specific organization, or their parent(s), or their guardian(s);<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The receipt of payment of State duty.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, number N 329-N, dated April the 4<sup>th<\/sup> 2008 establishes the list of countries whose citizens can get an entry visa to the Republic of Armenia only via diplomatic representations and consular institutions of the Republic of Armenia in a foreign country and only when <strong><em>expressly invited.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Below is the list of these states:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Algeria; Angola; Afghanistan; Bangladesh; Benin; Botswana; Burkina Faso; Burundi; Vietnam; Gabon; Gambia; Ghana; Guinea; Guinea-Bissau; The Democratic Republic of the Congo; Djibouti; The Arab Republic of Egypt; Zambia; Zimbabwe; The Cape Verde; Cameroon; Kenya; The C\u00f4te d&#8217;Ivoire; Comoros; The Congo; The Kingdom of Lesotho; Liberia; Libya; Mauritius; Mauritania; Madagascar; Malawi; Mali; Morocco; Mozambique; Namibia; Nepal; Niger; Nigeria; Pakistan; Palestine; Rwanda; The Sao Tome and Principe; Saudi Arabia; Swaziland; Saint Helena; Seychelles; Senegal; Sierra Leone; Syria; Somalia; Sudan; Tanzania; Togo; Tunisia; Uganda; Central African Republic; Chad; Sri Lanka; The Equatorial Guinea; Eritrea; Ethiopia; South Sudan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Citizens of the above countries who have documents proving their belonging and\/or decent from an Armenian national, or confirming the presence of relatives holding Armenian nationality, may get a visa without a visa invitation letter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The order of departure from the Republic of Armenia:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To exit from the country a foreign citizen needs the following documents:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The passport;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The certificate of legal residence, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>A foreign citizen cannot leave the Republic of Armenia when:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In relation to a criminal case, in which case he\/she cannot leave the country until the investigation is completed;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In relation to a court verdict barring exit from the country.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">04.30.2015<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Foreign citizens have the right to enter the territory of the Republic of Armenia with passports, visas and in some cases with a residence permit.
